Rebuild of reconstruction of 500 year old mosque right at the bank of River Kabul demolished due to floods

The 500 year old mosque right at the bank of River Kabul was completely demolished due to July 2010 devastating floods. We are thankful to Allah who gave us the courage and strength to rebuild this grand mosque with the help of donors / philanthropists from Pakistan and abroad. Primary school and a model clinic have also been started besides the mosque premises. CHCS is still continuing the rehabilitation efforts for the flood affectees. Hundreds of flood affectees are still living without shelters. The river Kabul which brought havoc last year is in full flow and with the start of early monsoon rains there is an imminent danger of this year also. We have also made plans to deal with emergency situation especially in our Apna Ghar Housing Projects areas, Noshehra, Charsadda, MuzaffarGarh, Bahrain, Swat (400 houses built so far). We have also placed order for a Mobile Health Unit cum Rescue Vehicle to deal with emergency situation in calamity hit areas.
